We’ve gotten into Harvard, MIT, Hopkins, Oxford, Stanford, Berkley, UMichigan, UVA, etc. We know the tricks, we’re here to give you the tips.
The Loudoun County School Board is slowly taking TJ away from us. We need to fight to prevent that from happening. It’s also imperative that we are prepared for any eventuality. This workshop and panel discussion is intended to provide guidance as to how to get into top schools with or without TJ. Akshay has fought to keep TJ in the system and will continue to do so but he also has the foresight to equip our bright kids with the information needed to successfully get into their dream colleges – from anywhere.
Key Topics that will be covered by the panelists:
How important a role does schools like TJ play to get into top school?
How do you differentiate yourself at other Loudoun and PWC high schools and get into top universities, even get an edge to those in TJ?
When do you need to prep for colleges in middle school and high School?
SAT or ACT – what’s a good score, do I need to retake?
How important is SAT/ACT/GPA in the admission process?
What extracurricular activities are needed to tip the scale?
Scholarships in colleges – what are some things your child should do to?
How should you write your essays – how important are they?
College majors – do I have to decide right now?
Campus jobs, research, etc.
